The Palazzo Strozzi Foundation presents Angelico, an extraordinary project dedicated to Fra Giovanni, known as Beato Angelico, an artist who symbolized 15th-century art in Florence. The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Regional Directorate of National Museums of Tuscany and the Museum of San Marco, which will be a parallel venue for the exhibition in a single itinerary that celebrates one of the fathers of Renaissance art.

The occasion will allow the restoration of extraordinary masterpieces and the reunion for the first time of works by one of the main masters of Italian art of all time, dispersed for over two hundred years. The exhibition will in fact offer a unique journey, with loans from the most important museums and institutions in the world, such as the Louvre in Paris, the Gemäldegalerie in Berlin, the Metropolitan Museum in New York, the National Gallery in Washington, the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Angelico will address the production, development and influence of the art of Beato Angelico in dialogue with painters such as Masaccio, Filippo Lippi, Jan van Eyck, Lorenzo Monaco, but also sculptors such as Lorenzo Ghiberti, Michelozzo and Luca della Robbia.
